Seth Rollins has been off WWE TV for five weeks, and his absence has lasted longer than originally planned.
WrestleVotes said during a Q&A on Monday that Rollins’ time away was not expected to stretch this long after SummerSlam.
“The thing that I heard about Seth Rollins following SummerSlam is that this absence wasn’t supposed to be prolonged, but now we’re at week five. Next week will be week six.”
WrestleVotes added that Rollins’ name hasn’t come up much in recent backstage talk. He is still expected back relatively soon, though no return date has been set.
“So unless something changes, I haven’t heard his name in a while. He’ll be back relatively soon.”
Rollins was last seen on August 2, when he faced Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of SummerSlam Night 2 in Minneapolis.
On August 24, WrestleVotes reported that the absence is not injury-related. It was described as a planned creative break, with the Money in the Bank window mentioned as a possible target for his return.
Money in the Bank takes place October 10 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
