Seth Rollins has been off WWE television since SummerSlam on August 2, where he lost to Roman Reigns in the main event of Night Two in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The Visionary has not appeared on Monday Night RAW since, including this Monday’s episode on August 24 in Ottawa, Canada. While the grueling match against Reigns raised concerns about his physical condition, the absence is reportedly unrelated to any new injury.
According to WrestleVotes, WWE has pulled Rollins from programming temporarily for creative reasons.
“Everything I’ve been told, it’s a simple break. It’s not an injury, it’s creative.”
The time off is not expected to turn into a long-term absence, however. Rollins is expected to factor back into WWE‘s plans around Money in the Bank.
“He won’t be out long. Don’t think it’s this week or next week, but around Money in the Bank or so.”
Money in the Bank is scheduled for October 10 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. WWE had originally announced a different date before officially moving the premium live event to October.
Rollins nearly captured the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam, but Reigns survived his biggest moves and connected with three consecutive Spears to pick up the win. After the match, the two shared The Shield’s signature fist bump.
