Next Monday’s episode of RAW was taped this Friday at the Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, and the next challenger for the WWE Intercontinental Championship has been set.

During a segment featuring Chad Gable, Dragon Lee and Ethan Page both interrupted the current champion. The confrontation led to a #1 Contender’s Match between Lee and Page, with the winner earning a future shot at Gable’s title.

Dragon Lee went on to defeat Ethan Page and lock in a future Intercontinental Championship opportunity. He is now set to challenge Chad Gable when RAW heads to Mexico City.

That show is scheduled for 09/14 at Arena CDMX as part of WWE’s big swing through Mexico. It will mark the first time RAW has been held in Mexico City in 15 years.

Gable captured the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam by forcing Penta to tap to the Ankle Lock. He has since successfully defended the title against Rey Mysterio.
