Ethan Page made his intentions clear on this week’s Monday Night RAW, airing August 24 from Ottawa, Ontario, setting his sights on Chad Gable’s Intercontinental Championship.
In a backstage segment, Adam Pearce was talking with Gable about his recent title defense against Rey Mysterio when Page interrupted and demanded a title shot. The former NXT Champion pointed out that he had also beaten Mysterio and accused Gable of ducking him.
Gable fired back by reminding Page that he had already been given the same opportunity. In the July 13 Gauntlet Match, Gable defeated Rusev and then forced Page to tap to the Ankle Lock, earning his shot against Penta at SummerSlam.

After the back-and-forth, though, Gable told Page he had run his mouth too much and blown his chance. WWE has not officially announced a match between the two as of this writing.
Notably, Page actually challenged Gable for the Intercontinental Championship just one night earlier at the WWE live event in Calgary, Alberta, on August 23. Gable won by submission and retained the title.
With the exchange on this week’s show, the Gable-Page rivalry has regained momentum on RAW programming.
