There’s an update on why Stephanie Vaquer missed Monday’s WWE Raw, where her match against Becky Lynch was canceled.
Backstage reports on Tuesday indicate that she may be dealing with a health issue.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that Vaquer missed the show due to an illness, and Cory Hays of False Finish added that she is “out indefinitely.”
On Monday, Adam Pearce said Vaquer wasn’t medically cleared and canceled the match, but WWE had announced her recovery on Saturday.
That’s a change from what was first reported about Vaquer’s ankle injury at Money in the Bank on October 10. Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that it was a legit injury but was not expected to keep her out of action for long, and Vaquer wrestled at the house shows in Hawaii on October 16 and 17.
Vaquer has dealt with an illness before. In an interview with PWInsider in October 2025, she revealed that she was sick for three weeks before Wrestlepalooza due to a bacterial infection in her throat. She could not eat or drink for three days, and she almost wasn’t medically cleared to wrestle at the show.
On Raw, Lynch defeated Liv Morgan by DQ in a Women’s World Championship match when The Judgment Day interfered.
