Swerve Strickland didn’t hold back when asked who in AEW has the most ridiculous finisher, calling out MJF and claiming he stole the move from Adam Cole.
Speaking on Don Chenz, the current AEW World Trios Champion took aim at MJF’s Heat Seeker, saying Cole should get the credit for it.
“MJF. It sucks and it was stolen from Adam Cole. He stole all of his sh*t.”
The dig carries extra weight given the history between MJF and Cole. The two formed Better Than You Bay Bay in 2023 and won the ROH World Tag Team Championship at All In: London that August. That same night, they faced off for the AEW World Championship in the main event, with both men breaking out each other’s moves. MJF attempted the Panama Sunrise, while Cole connected with the Heat Seeker.

Strickland and MJF have shared the ring recently, too. At Worlds End in December 2025, both were part of a four-way match for the AEW World Championship alongside Samoa Joe and Hangman Page. MJF won the title by hitting the Heat Seeker on Joe.
Strickland currently holds the AEW World Trios Championship with Kofi and Austin Creed as The New Level. The trio will defend the titles against The Demand on next week’s Dynamite, with the winners set to face Hangman Page and Brodido at All Out on September 26.
