Tommaso Ciampa has two big names in mind for future rivalries in AEW. The “Psycho Killer” would like to run a long program with both MJF and Jon Moxley.
During an interview on the Battleground Podcast, released September 11, Ciampa was asked who he’d want to face in a six-month program, not just a single match.
Ciampa said MJF is at the top of his list, putting Moxley right there with him as his 1A and 1B picks. According to him, the two would make his best long-term rivalry, both for what they could bring on the mic and in the ring.
That kind of interest lines up with the run Ciampa’s had in AEW so far.
At Redemption on July 26, Ciampa lost to Chris Jericho in a No Holds Barred Match, closing out a feud that had its own share of violence.
Ciampa has also crossed paths with MJF before. At All In on August 30, both wrestlers took part in the Casino Gauntlet Match at Wembley Stadium for a future shot at the AEW World Championship, which Andrade El Ídolo won.
The “Psycho Killer” arrived in AEW on January 28 and beat Mark Briscoe three days later to win the TNT Championship. On April 22, he also challenged Darby Allin for the AEW World Championship, but came up short.
Moxley, meanwhile, already has a big match of his own lined up. The current AEW Continental Champion will challenge Will Ospreay for the AEW World Championship at All Out on September 26 in Chicago.
