[Spoilers] Avery Styles Makes His TNA In-Ring Debut

Avery Styles has already had his first match in a TNA ring, just days after officially signing with the company during Lockdown.

At the Thursday Night iMPACT tapings held on Friday, August 28, at the CAA Centre in Brampton, Ontario, AJ Styles’ son faced Brian Myers. Myers defeated the young wrestler in a match lasting approximately five minutes.

There is, however, a rather curious situation involving this match. Right after, AJ Francis defeated Brent Oakley and called out Avery Styles to face him in his “first match.” Santino Marella even announced the match for a future edition of iMPACT, but Frankie Kazarian appeared and refused the match on Avery’s behalf.

AJ Styles' son, Avery Styles, had his first match in TNA at the latest tapings, where he lost to Brian Myers (Curt Hawkins in WWE) in a short match.

Because of this sequence, there is a possibility that the match against Myers will not air on TV and will be treated only as a match held during the tapings. As of now, however, TNA has not officially confirmed that it intends to cut the match from the broadcast.

Avery signed with TNA at Lockdown on August 23 after stating that he intends to build his own story at the company where his father became one of the biggest stars in history. Before that, the 19-year-old began his pro wrestling career on June 26, when he defeated Ashton Martin at a Squared Circle Action event in Royston, Georgia, with AJ Styles in his corner.

TNA has also already started a storyline involving Avery and Frankie Kazarian, who has been trying to take on the role of mentor to the new signee.
