Will Ospreay had the biggest night of his AEW career at All In: London. In Sunday’s main event at Wembley Stadium, the British star defeated Kenny Omega to capture the AEW World Championship for the first time.
Ospreay punched his ticket to Wembley by defeating Swerve Strickland in the men’s final of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament at Forbidden Door. Omega entered the bout in his second reign, having defeated MJF on the August 7 Dynamite Beach Break.
The match was a hard-hitting affair, with Omega targeting Ospreay’s neck for much of the bout. Ospreay was busted open during the match but fought through the champion’s offense to end his reign at just over 50 days.

Omega held a 2-1 lead in their singles series heading into Wembley, with wins at PWG and Wrestle Kingdom 17 against Ospreay’s lone victory at Forbidden Door 2023. Sunday’s result evens the score at 2-2.
The title change also capped off an angle that had been building since July, when Ospreay helped Omega defeat MJF for the championship before the two reignited their rivalry during the build to All In.
Ospreay may already have a challenger waiting. Also at All In: London, Andrade El Ídolo won the Casino Gauntlet to earn a future AEW World Championship match.
