The Rock’s Potential WrestleMania 43 Appearance Faces Major Hurdle

Fast Forever filming schedule could conflict with The Rock's potential WWE WrestleMania 43 appearance in Riyadh.

The Rock’s Potential WrestleMania 43 Appearance Faces Major Hurdle

The Rock could face a new hurdle if he wants to work WWE WrestleMania 43, set for 2027 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Vin Diesel revealed that filming on Fast Forever, the final installment of the Fast & Furious franchise, is expected to begin in December 2026. The Rock is confirmed to reprise his role as Luke Hobbs in the film.

The issue comes down to the calendar. Fast X began shooting in April 2022 and stayed in production through August of that year, a span of roughly four months. If Fast Forever follows a similar timeline, filming would stretch into March or April 2027.

WWE has not officially announced dates for WrestleMania 43, though there are a few possibilities in play. The company has only confirmed that the event will take place in Riyadh as part of the 2027 Riyadh Season.

Behind the scenes, March 27 has emerged as the frontrunner, while the weekend of April 10 has also been floated as an alternative.

That overlap makes a potential Rock match or appearance particularly difficult to pull off. Beyond stepping away from the shoot to work WWE programming during the build, Johnson would also need time to train before getting back in the ring.

The Rock has previously confirmed that conversations about a possible WrestleMania 43 appearance are taking place, though he has never officially announced he’ll be at the show.

“In terms of the conversations I’ve been having, it’s all good. It will always be good!”

None of this rules The Rock out just yet. The Fast Forever production schedule could still shift, and he wouldn’t need to be on set every day of the shoot.
