Zilla Fatu closed out the latest episode of WWE NXT as one of the show’s biggest highlights. The son of the late Umaga stood tall at the end of the Heatwave Summit, holding the NXT Championship after laying out Tony D’Angelo, Grayson Waller, and Cruz Montana.
Fatu showed up in the closing moments of the brawl, launching off the corner onto his opponents. He then grabbed the NXT Championship and posed with the title as NXT went off the air.
Shortly after, Fatu took to social media to celebrate, and The Rock made sure to show his approval:
“Time to eat fam👊🏾”
Fatu responded right away:
“@therock HELLLOOO”
Fatu had paid tribute to The Rock on the August 18 episode of NXT. He wore a black and white shirt, a gold chain, and dark sunglasses, later confirming the outfit was a nod to Rock’s look.
Fatu is set for his first official WWE match at Heatwave on August 30, 2026, when Tony D’Angelo defends the NXT Championship against him, Waller, and Montana in a Fatal 4-Way Match.
