Thea Hail Reveals Health Issue, Not Expected to Miss Time in WWE NXT

Thea Hail revealed on Thursday, August 27, that she has been diagnosed with alopecia areata. The WWE NXT star shared the news on her official Instagram account, showing the hair loss the condition has caused.

In her usual lighthearted fashion on social media, Hail joked about the news:

“I have literally manifested going bald.”

The post also included several photos of the affected area, as well as a montage showing Hail completely bald.

Alopecia areata is an autoimmune condition in which the body’s immune system targets hair follicles, potentially leading to sudden hair loss in various areas. Hair loss from the condition is not necessarily permanent because the follicles themselves usually remain intact.

Despite the diagnosis, Hail’s post made no mention of any time away from WWE. She remains active and most recently competed on the August 18 episode of NXT, losing to Nattie after tapping to the Sharpshooter.

Hail also appeared at WWE EVOLVE the following day, August 19, challenging Nikkita Lyons for the Evolve Women’s Championship. Lyons won the match and retained the title.
