Bianca Belair Reveals New Health Issue During WWE Absence

Bianca Belair’s physical issues continue to pile up more than a year into her absence from WWE. On Tuesday, the former champion revealed she is now dealing with carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands.

Belair hasn’t competed since WrestleMania 41, where she faced IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship. During a triple German suplex in the match, her hand got caught underneath Ripley, causing a severe joint injury to one of her fingers.

In a post on her Instagram Stories, Belair detailed the difficult situation she’s currently facing:

“No one ever talks about this stuff… currently carpal tunnel in both hands… fingers completely numb, no feeling in surgery finger whatsoever, no grip strength, and now also Mom thumb…wtf lol.”

The carpal tunnel adds another layer to an already lengthy recovery. In February, nearly ten months after the original injury and following eight months of rehab and consultations with five doctors, Belair underwent surgery. By June, she was showing progress and had regained the ability to bend her finger during physical therapy sessions.

Belair and Montez Ford also announced on August 4 the birth of their first child, Romeo Leonardo Allen Crawford. She had originally revealed the pregnancy during a surprise appearance at WrestleMania 42 alongside John Cena.

There is still no timetable for Belair’s in-ring return to WWE.
