Thekla has no plans to leave AEW anytime soon. The current AEW Women’s World Champion revealed that re-signing with the company was a pretty simple decision.
Speaking on TMZ’s Inside the Ring, the leader of the Triangle of Madness said that AEW has become the perfect fit for her career, especially because of her relationship with Tony Khan and the backstage environment.
“I think AEW is perfect for me. When the boss asked me if I would stay longer than originally planned, I said yes, as long as the circumstances were right and lucrative enough. Honestly, it was a no-brainer. I love TK, I love working with him, I love his energy backstage, and all the girls are cool. The locker room is calm and chill, and I love my job.”
Thekla also made it clear that she doesn’t see any other company as a better option right now.
“I don’t think the grass is greener anywhere else, because I’m sitting in a flower garden.”

According to Fightful Select, AEW locked in Thekla’s new deal well before she could reach free agency. The contract is a multi-year agreement, includes a significant pay raise, and there was an expectation of outside interest had she hit the open market.
It’s worth remembering that Thekla arrived in AEW in May 2025 after leaving Stardom, debuting with an attack on Jamie Hayter. This past February, she defeated Kris Statlander in a Strap Match to win the AEW Women’s World Championship for the first time.
