Kevin Knight sees Jon Moxley as the leading voice inside the AEW locker room.

In a recent interview, the current TNT Champion was asked who holds the role of backstage leader in Tony Khan’s company, and he did not hesitate to name the Death Riders leader. According to Knight, the respect for Moxley is even stronger because he does not speak more than he needs to.

“I would definitely say Jon Moxley is the top guy. Everybody turns their head and listens to Mox whenever he has something to say, because he doesn’t talk much. So when he does, you better pay attention and listen.”

Knight also pointed to other important names within AEW’s locker room, mentioning Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, and Mark Briscoe as figures who help keep morale up and guide younger talent.

The comments come at a significant time for Knight. He captured the TNT Championship at AEW Dynasty on April 12 by winning a Casino Gauntlet Match for the vacant title.

Since then, he has defended the belt against names such as MJF and HOOK, while also earning an AEW World Championship opportunity against Darby Allin on this Wednesday’s Dynamite.

Moxley, meanwhile, remains the AEW Continental Champion and one of the central figures on AEW programming, especially with the Death Riders tied into multiple rivalries. On tonight’s show, he is scheduled to face Juice Robinson in an Eliminator Match.
