Tiffany Stratton nearly cashed in her Money in the Bank contract on Liv Morgan during Friday’s SmackDown at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California.

The attempt came after Chelsea Green defended the WWE Women’s Championship against Roxanne Perez.

Green defeated Perez to retain the title. After the match, Morgan joined Raquel Rodriguez and Perez in an attack on Green and IYO SKY. Stratton came out to make the save and hit Morgan with her briefcase.

With Morgan down in the ring, Stratton prepared to cash in. But Rodriguez and Perez managed to pull Morgan out of the ring before Stratton could go through with it.

Stratton earned the briefcase by winning the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match at Money in the Bank on October 10. She beat five other wrestlers, including Perez, and became a two-time Money in the Bank winner.

Stratton returned to SmackDown amid an ongoing feud involving The Judgment Day. On Monday’s RAW, Green and SKY defeated Rodriguez and Perez in a tag team match that featured interference from Morgan.

Stratton has a direct connection to Green. The two faced each other at SummerSlam, where Green won the WWE Women’s title in a five-way ladder match. Still, Stratton chose Morgan as the target of her first cash-in attempt since winning the briefcase again.
