Stephanie Vaquer returned to the WWE ring only six days after suffering an ankle injury during Money in the Bank. She took part in the WWE Live event held on Friday at the Neal S. Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she faced Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship but ended up defeated.

The return happened earlier than some fans might have expected, mainly because Vaquer had appeared using crutches on this week’s Monday Night RAW.

As previously reported, Vaquer had said that she would need only a few days of rest. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter also reported that the injury was legitimate but was not expected to cause a prolonged absence.

The matchup with Morgan also had a particular detail. On Sept. 12, Vaquer had defeated the same opponent to win the Women’s World Championship during a WWE live event in Chile. This time, the two again competed for the Women’s World Championship at a non-televised show, but Morgan managed to retain the title.

WWE will hold a second night of the Hawaii Live Tour on Saturday, again in Honolulu. Morgan is among the announced names, while Vaquer does not appear on the list released by the company.
