TNA has announced two Ultimate X matches and the return of the World X-Cup for Destination X.
Santino Marella made the announcements on Thursday’s iMPACT.
One of the two Ultimate X matches will be for the Knockouts, and the winner will earn a future shot at the TNA Knockouts World Championship. The winner of the men’s match will get a shot at the TNA X-Division Championship. The company has yet to reveal the participants in either match.
The World X-Cup is also returning for the first time since 2008. Marella said the tournament will feature wrestlers representing different countries, split into two Fatal 4-Way matches. The two winners will meet in a final that same night to crown the 2026 champion.
None of the tournament’s eight participants have been announced.
The additions join Leon Slater’s defense of the TNA World Championship against Trey Miguel, which was already set for the event. With the two Ultimate X matches, the three World X-Cup matches and Slater’s title defense, Destination X has six matches lined up so far.
The Knockouts Ultimate X match will be only the third in TNA history. Tasha Steelz won the first at Hard To Kill in 2022, and Gisele Shaw won the second at the same event in 2024.
The World X-Cup had a different format in 2008, when national teams competed against each other. Team Mexico came out on top after Volador Jr. won the deciding Ultimate X match at Victory Road.
Destination X, which is returning after a nine-year absence, will take place on November 15 at the Edmonton EXPO Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
