Tony Khan has addressed some of AEW’s biggest absences with Forbidden Door just days away.
During the pay-per-view media call, the AEW president was asked about Toni Storm, Jay White, Keith Lee, and Britt Baker. Khan said all four are in different situations and did not give a specific timetable for any of their returns.
His answer did make it clear that some names are closer to returning to AEW programming than others.
Still, none of them have been officially announced for Forbidden Door, which takes place on June 28 at SAP Center in San Jose and features talent from AEW, NJPW, CMLL, and STARDOM.
Baker’s status is one of the more notable cases. She has been inactive and has not wrestled since the November 24, 2024 episode of AEW Dynamite, despite being physically healthy. White, meanwhile, has been out with a shoulder injury and had not been cleared earlier this year.
Keith Lee also remains without a return date. His name was reportedly discussed for a possible AEW return several months ago, but no plans moved forward.
Toni Storm was taken off television on the March 18 episode of Dynamite, and AEW expects her to remain out of action for the rest of 2026.
