PAC’s death continues to be deeply felt behind the scenes at AEW. On Monday, Tony Khan, the company’s president and owner, made clear that no wrestler is being required to compete at this time.
Khan spoke to the crowd about the loss of Benjamin Satterley before the ROH tapings at WJCT Studios in Jacksonville, Florida. He said the talent on hand was there by choice, and that wrestlers are free to decide for themselves whether they are up to working in the wake of the news.
PAC died on Sunday. He was 40. Neither his family nor AEW has released a cause of death. The company officially confirmed his death a few hours after he competed at All Out.
Khan also paid tribute to PAC on X, writing:
“Benjamin Satterley defined excellence, as a beloved husband & friend to his many loved ones, + in his wrestling knowledge, skill, unprecedented athleticism, professionalism, consistency + dedication to the sport that he loved & traveled the world to pursue. May Ben rest in peace.”

PAC wrestled his final match on Saturday, losing to Andrade El Idolo in an AEW National Championship match. Later in the night, he also appeared alongside the Death Riders during the main event between Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay.
AEW has decided to turn Wednesday’s Dynamite into a special tribute episode for PAC. The show is set for the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh and will air at 8 p.m. ET on TBS and HBO Max.
