Update on How Long Kendal Grey Is Expected to Be Out of Action

Kendal Grey will be out of action for at least a few weeks, NXT General Manager Robert Stone said Wednesday on Busted Open Radio. WWE had initially announced Grey would be sidelined indefinitely.

Stone suggested Grey may not have realized how serious the situation was right away.

“At the time of it, I don’t think she knew that she was hurt and out of it. But she has a case of vertigo.”

He was more specific about her timeline, though.

“I do know for the next few weeks you will not be seeing Kendal Grey in action. She’s healing up from a few different things. Hands down, she will come back from this and get back at some point.”

Grey’s problems started before NXT Heatwave. On April 8, during an NXT Underground Match against Lola Vice, she hit the steel steps and suffered a large cut on her right ear that required medical attention during the match.

Days before Heatwave, Grey said she was still dealing with ringing in her ear and balance problems, and that her recovery had been slow. She defended the NXT Women’s Championship against Kelani Jordan anyway.

At Heatwave, Jordan targeted the injured area.

On last Tuesday’s NXT, Vic Joseph confirmed that medical staff ruled out a concussion but that tests found an issue with Grey’s vestibular system, which controls balance and spatial awareness.
