Will Ospreay said he does not care about other companies and wants to keep his focus on AEW. In a recent interview with Brandon Kravitz, he was asked about WWE.
As previously reported, Ospreay had harshly criticized WWE after AEW All Out in September, defending AEW’s product. This time, however, he preferred not to make any new attacks on the competitor.
Ospreay was asked about the constant questions involving WWE. He gave the following explanation.
He said he knows it is part of the job. People will always ask, and he can only give his opinion. The truth is that he does not care. He prefers to focus on AEW and what they are capable of doing there. He believes AEW is changing the face of professional wrestling. He loves what they present. He loves what they do. He loves their wrestling. He loves everything they represent. So he sincerely could not care less about any other company.
Ospreay also commented on the relationship between the two companies. He said that comparisons are part of the business and that it is necessary to learn to deal with them.
In an interview with Ariel Helwani in August, Ospreay revealed that he received an offer from WWE but chose AEW because of creative freedom.
In addition, Ospreay spoke about the arrival of Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed in AEW, pointing out that both are willing to help the company’s roster.
Ospreay remains the AEW World Champion after winning the Clockwork Carnage Match at WrestleDream on Saturday in Orlando. At the time, Ospreay finished with three points, while Adam Copeland, Samoa Joe and Darby Allin finished with two.
