WWE announced the date and location for NXT Heatwave during Sunday’s Great American Bash.

The event will take place on Sunday, August 30, at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas. Tickets are set to go on sale on July 8.

The announcement also confirmed that the event will be held in partnership with AAA, continuing the involvement of talent from both companies. In recent days, Lola Vice defended the NXT Women’s Championship at a AAA show.

No matches have been announced for Heatwave so far. The first bouts are expected to be built through the fallout from Great American Bash and upcoming weekly episodes of NXT.

Heatwave returned to WWE’s calendar in 2022, initially as a weekly NXT special. The name, previously tied to ECW, has since been used annually by the brand and has gained more importance in recent years.

At the 2024 edition in Toronto, Ethan Page won the NXT Championship in a Fatal 4-Way Match against Trick Williams, Shawn Spears, and Je’Von Evans.

In 2025, in Lowell, Oba Femi defeated Evans in the main event and retained the NXT Championship.
