Kevin Owens will appear at a WWE event this weekend, but it will not be for an in-ring return.
During the latest episode of WWE NXT, the company announced that Owens will be at NXT Great American Bash, which takes place Sunday, June 28, at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
Owens will appear at the event’s Tailgate & Watch Party alongside Busted Open Radio’s Dave LaGreca. The gathering will begin before the premium live event, which will air in the United States on The CW and internationally on Netflix.
It is important to note that, at least for now, this does not mean Owens is returning to the ring. The former WWE Universal Champion has been sidelined since April 2025 after suffering a serious neck injury that pulled him from his planned match against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41.
Even while away from in-ring action, Owens has not been completely absent from WWE. In recent months, he appeared as a coach on the third season of WWE LFG alongside names such as Natalya, Booker T and Bubba Ray Dudley.

“I miss wrestling.”
There is still no official timetable for when Kevin Owens will be cleared to compete again. However, his presence at Great American Bash will be his first major public appearance tied to WWE programming since his time away began.
