Karl-Anthony Towns was behind one of the biggest surprises at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 18 in New York City.
The NBA champion with the New York Knicks appeared during the No-Disqualification Match between Danhausen and JD McDonagh, helping the wrestler overcome the numbers disadvantage against The Judgment Day.
McDonagh had Dominik Mysterio in his corner. Taking advantage of the no-disqualification stipulation, Dominik interfered several times and at one point wiped his shoes with the custom Knicks jersey that The Judgment Day had stolen from Danhausen.

The tide turned when the Minihausens showed up to distract McDonagh and Mysterio. Danhausen then put a cat inside his cloning machine, which exploded in a cloud of smoke and revealed Towns.
KAT stepped into the ring and hit McDonagh with a chokeslam. Moments later, he did the same to Dominik, this time putting the Judgment Day member through a table. Towns even put Danhausen’s traditional curse on McDonagh.
Danhausen capitalized on the moment, hit the Death Drop and got the pinfall, picking up his first win in a match at Madison Square Garden.
