Dragon Lee’s future in WWE has become a talking point in recent days, especially since reports surfaced that his current contract is nearing its end.
Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Lee and his brother Dralistico, who is currently with AEW, both have contracts that expire soon. The brothers also recently trademarked the name “Hermanos Lee,” a move that has added to speculation about a possible reunion away from WWE.
A new update, however, indicates that Lee’s situation looks quite different from what the talk of a possible exit suggests.
Per Self Made Pro, the internal indication at WWE is that officials don’t expect Lee to leave the company anytime soon. The report also noted a belief backstage that Lee is happy with his current situation in the company.
That lines up with a recent update from WrestleVotes, which said WWE plans to keep Lee and is expected to make him an offer to renew his contract. The company also sees added value in Lee because of AAA, particularly the possibility of using him in both WWE and AAA.
Lee’s recent booking also shows he has a place in WWE programming. He challenged Chad Gable for the Intercontinental Championship on the September 14 episode of RAW in Mexico City. One week later, he competed in a Money in the Bank qualifying Triple Threat match that Penta won.
Lee won the World Tag Team Championship with AJ Styles in October 2025. It was his first tag team title on the main roster.
As of now, however, no contract renewal between Lee and WWE has been officially announced.
