Teddy Long has once again spoken publicly about his relationship with Vince McMahon, this time highlighting a very unusual item he received from the former WWE owner.

Appearing on TMZ’s Inside The Ring, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed that he considers the McMahon bust he received during the former WWE chairman’s 80th birthday party one of his most important possessions.

“He didn’t give them out to everyone, but I’m not the only one that got one. I would consider that as my prized possession.”

The gift had already drawn plenty of attention last year. As previously reported here at Wrestling Noticias, only 100 busts were said to have been produced for select guests at the private party held at the Baccarat Hotel in New York City.

The event was also notable for its strict secrecy rules. Reports at the time indicated that guests were not allowed to use cell phones during the celebration, and that some of them signed nondisclosure agreements.

Long was among the names in attendance, with several figures tied to WWE history also present, including John Cena, The Undertaker, Kane, JBL, Jerry Lawler, R-Truth, Drew McIntyre, The Miz, and Maryse.

Teddy Long was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017 after a long run as a referee, manager, and SmackDown General Manager.

Vince McMahon, meanwhile, has remained away from WWE since January 2024.
