Becky Lynch will face Sol Ruca at this Saturday’s Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 23, but the Women’s Intercontinental Championship will not be on the line.

WWE confirmed on its official website that Ruca will have the biggest match of her career against The Man, the current Women’s Intercontinental Champion. The show will stream live at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Peacock in the United States and on YouTube internationally.

The challenge was made on the May 18 episode of Monday Night RAW, when Ruca confronted Lynch and asked for a match on the special. Becky accepted, but made it clear that the title would not be up for grabs.

The situation drew even more attention because WWE created some confusion while promoting the match. According to Fightful, the bout was initially announced as a non-title match, then was advertised with the championship on the line before being switched back to a non-title format.

Ruca previously faced Lynch in one of her first matches on RAW, but came up short. Since arriving on the main roster, the former NXT standout is still looking for a major win on the red brand.

Ruca also has a perfect record at Saturday Night’s Main Event. In December 2025, she defeated Bayley on the special, earning what remains one of the biggest wins of her WWE run so far.

The event card also features Penta vs. Ethan Page for the Intercontinental Championship, The Vision vs. The Street Profits for the World Tag Team Championship, and Paige and Brie Bella defending the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Nia Jax and Lash Legend.
