WWE may be preparing another project tied to the gaming world.
According to Fightful, the company filed a trademark for “WWE Hard Hitters” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on May 15. The application’s description is aimed at electronic games, including video game and computer software, online games, titles for wireless devices, and arcade machines.
So far, WWE has not officially announced any project under that name. Still, the filing stands out because it comes amid a larger push by the company in that sector.
In February, the company had already filed trademarks for “WWE Domination,” “WWE Generations,” and “WWE Eras Collide,” all also tied to electronic games. In other words, WWE is clearly moving to protect possible names within the gaming market.

At the moment, the company’s main gaming franchise remains WWE 2K, with WWE 2K26 already listed by 2K as the latest release in the series. The publisher’s official website also highlights other titles connected to the brand, such as WWE SuperCard and WWE 2K Battlegrounds.
WWE also still has a strong presence on mobile, with WWE Champions surpassing 50 million downloads on Google Play.
It remains to be seen whether WWE Hard Hitters will be a full new game, a mode within an existing franchise, or simply a preventive trademark filing.
