Tuesday’s WWE NXT was the show’s most-watched episode in more than 18 months.

The September 1 episode averaged 767,000 viewers on The CW, NXT’s highest number since February 2025.

That is up roughly 21 percent from the previous week, when the August 25 episode drew 632,000 viewers.

NXT’s previous high for 2026 came on February 17, when the show averaged 744,000 viewers, at the time its best figure since July 2025. The last episode to top this week’s total was February 25, 2025, which drew 799,000 viewers.

Tuesday’s show was the first NXT after Heatwave. Grayson Waller made his first appearance as the new NXT Champion and closed the show by setting off a brawl among several potential challengers. Zilla Fatu picked up his first win in NXT, and the Creed Brothers made a surprise return to the brand.
