WWE Releases Another Name From NXT Following Jasper Troy

PJ Vasa is no longer with WWE. She is the latest name caught up in the new round of releases hitting NXT and the company’s developmental system.

False Finish reported that Vasa was released on Friday. Shortly before that, PWInsider had confirmed that new cuts were underway in NXT, initially reporting only the departure of Jasper Troy. PWInsider also noted that no main roster releases are expected.

Vasa, whose real name is Penina Tuilaepa, first made a name for herself on WWE LFG. She reached the women’s final in the show’s second season but lost to Dani Sekelsky, whom Shawn Michaels later picked as one of the season’s winners.

WWE registered the PJ Vasa name in September 2025, and she began using it officially soon after. Around the same time, she started appearing more regularly on WWE EVOLVE, attacking Kendal Grey and Carlee Bright when she first arrived on the show.

WWE continued to use Vasa throughout 2026. She returned for the third season of LFG and worked a match against Ivy Nile on WWE Main Event. Her last televised EVOLVE match came on August 26, when she lost to Laynie Luck.

No specific reason for Vasa’s departure has been revealed. With Jasper Troy also gone and the developmental cuts still ongoing, more names could be confirmed.
