WWE is reportedly working on a new direction for Rusev when he returns to television.

Self Made Pro reported that the plan involves a partnership that has already begun on RAW.

The company reportedly plans to bring Rusev, Ethan Page, and Big Cass together as an official stable soon.

Page and Cass have started teaming up on TV. On the October 19 episode of RAW, they attacked Chad Gable, Rey Mysterio, and Dragon Lee after an Intercontinental Championship match. The two then defeated Gable and Lee on Monday’s RAW.

The new report adds to an earlier one from WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select. According to WrestleVotes, Rusev was originally WWE’s choice to team with Page, but his injury forced the creative team to go with Cass instead.

WrestleVotes also reported in September that although Rusev and Page were working together on TV, they weren’t considered an official tag team internally.

Rusev was sidelined after he suffered a neck injury in his July 27 match against Je’Von Evans. As previously reported, he was medically cleared in September to return to the ring.

Rusev has since returned to action at WWE house shows. On October 17, he teamed with Page again at a show in Honolulu, Hawaii. Gable and Rey Fenix defeated the two.
