The NXT Heritage Cup has officially come to an end, nearly 11 months after disappearing entirely from WWE NXT programming.

WWE did not make any public announcement about the decision, but added a “Retired” label to the Cup’s page. On the title history page, the final reign belongs to Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, with July 12, 2025 listed as the end date.

In storyline, that was the same day Tony D’Angelo stole the Cup during NXT Great American Bash and threw it off a bridge, amid his feud with Stacks and the collapse of The D’Angelo Family.

Stacks had won the title a few weeks earlier, on the June 24, 2025 episode of NXT, by defeating Tony D’Angelo in a match for the Cup. The title had been vacant after Noam Dar suffered an injury.

Created in September 2020, the Heritage Cup originated in NXT UK as a secondary title contested under traditional British Rounds Rules. A-Kid, now known as Axiom, was the first champion in its history.

After NXT UK ended in 2022, the title went on hiatus before Noam Dar brought it to NXT in April 2023.
