Mike Santana could be leaving TNA at one of the biggest points of his career.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE is interested in signing the current TNA World Champion. If the company is able to land Santana, it would reportedly like to have him on the main roster by the end of the year.

The situation stands out because of Santana’s current status. He is officially listed as TNA’s top men’s champion and has established himself as one of the company’s central names since the start of 2026.

His TNA contract is also set to expire in July, as we previously reported. In other words, a potential move to WWE would not necessarily require direct negotiations between the two companies if he does reach the market as a free agent.

Santana has also had recent exposure on WWE programming through the NXT and TNA partnership. In March, he appeared on NXT as TNA World Champion and led OTM to a win over DarkState, increasing his visibility with WWE’s audience.

It remains unclear whether TNA will try to keep Santana with a new offer, especially considering how important he currently is to iMPACT! programming.

However, WWE’s interest reinforces the idea that Santana is being viewed as a ready-made name, not someone who would need a long adjustment period in NXT.
