WWE Releases Keanu Carver

Keanu Carver is no longer with WWE. After days of uncertainty about his future, he has been removed from the company’s internal roster.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the change is now reflected internally at WWE. Johnson posted a new update on Carver’s status on Monday, October 5.

Until Monday’s update, Carver was not considered gone for good. Last week, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that people within WWE believed Carver may already have been released, though no official announcement had been made.

Carver has not appeared on television since the September 8 episode of NXT. He last wrestled four days later at a live event in Lakeland, Florida, where he defeated Brad Baylor.

Before that, Carver was featured prominently on NXT, where he feuded with Joe Hendry.

Carver’s absence came amid a civil case involving an order of protection sought by fellow NXT star Arianna Grace. Under the court’s ruling, Carver, whose real name is Kevin Robertson, is barred from contacting Grace or coming within 500 feet of her.

Despite the internal change, Carver’s official profile is still live on WWE.com as of this writing.
