WWE is reportedly targeting February 6 for the 2027 Royal Rumble, one day before AEW Dynasty in Liverpool.

WWE Royal Rumble and AEW Dynasty Likely Set for Same Weekend in 2027

The 2027 Royal Rumble could end up sharing one of next year’s busiest weekends with AEW, though WWE has yet to announce an exact date for the show.

WWE has confirmed State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, as the venue for the premium live event, which is set for February 2027. The event will be the 40th Royal Rumble and the third to take place in Arizona.

Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE’s current target date for the show is February 6. If the company sticks with that date, the Royal Rumble will fall just one day before AEW Dynasty.

AEW‘s date, by contrast, is official. Dynasty is set for Sunday, February 7, at M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, England. It will be the company’s first pay-per-view in Liverpool and its first in the U.K. outside London.

Fightful reported that WWE seriously considered expanding the 2027 Royal Rumble to two nights. A two-night format would put one of those nights on the same day as Dynasty. Fightful added, however, that the current expectation within WWE is for the Arizona show to remain a one-night event.

If current plans hold, WWE and AEW will stage two of their marquee events on back-to-back days. So far, however, WWE has officially confirmed only that the Royal Rumble will take place in February and has not released the exact date.
