Zilla Fatu Believed to Have Signed With WWE

Zilla Fatu is back at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, and this time around, the situation appears to have progressed well beyond his initial visit.

According to Cory Hays of False Finish, sources indicate Fatu is at the Performance Center on Tuesday, 8/11. The belief backstage is that Umaga’s son has already signed with WWE, though the company has yet to officially confirm the deal.

Fatu was first spotted at the facility on 8/6. A few weeks later, Fightful Select reported that WWE expected to sign him if the deal hadn’t already been completed, noting that concrete interest developed recently despite speculation dating back years.

NXT is a possible first landing spot. False Finish had previously reported that the idea was being discussed internally ahead of any eventual role in Bloodline storylines.

The timing is also notable given what went down on 8/7. Fatu dropped the HOG Crown Jewel Championship to Amazing Red at High Intensity in Queens and received a clear sendoff from House of Glory. Red wished him “good luck” while commentators stated that “greener pastures, bigger stages” awaited him.

Paul Heyman had publicly advocated for WWE to sign Fatu back in March:

“I think WWE would be remiss if WWE doesn’t sign Zilla Fatu at the very first opportunity to do so.”

Despite only debuting professionally in 2023, Fatu has already worked Reality of Wrestling, GCW, and HOG, and appeared on the TNA Slammiversary 2025 pre-show.
