Zilla Fatu has finally arrived in WWE. The son of the late Umaga debuted on Tuesday’s NXT, crashing the match to determine the next challenger for Tony D’Angelo’s NXT Championship.
Cruz Montana and Grayson Waller were headlining the show in a #1 Contender’s Match when Fatu hit the ring and attacked both men.
Montana took a Samoan Drop first. Fatu then leveled Waller with a Superman Punch, forcing the referee to throw the match out.
From there, Fatu climbed to the top rope and drove a Frog Splash into Montana. He followed up with a Uso Splash on Waller, standing tall after laying out both of D’Angelo’s potential challengers.
Montana vs. Waller was officially ruled a No Contest, leaving NXT without a defined next challenger for its top men’s title.
The debut comes just four days after Fatu wrapped up his run with House of Glory. At High Intensity on August 7, he dropped the HOG Crown Jewel Championship to Amazing Red.
Fatu, 26, began his career in 2023 after training under Booker T.
