Zilla Fatu Hits Major Milestone in WWE Debut

Zilla Fatu made an immediate impact in his WWE debut. Umaga’s son closed out the latest episode of NXT as a major surprise and quickly became a massive hit across social media.

According to numbers shared on social media, videos of Fatu’s debut racked up over 16 million views across WWE‘s official platforms in under 15 hours, putting his arrival among the biggest NXT debuts in terms of digital reach.

Fatu showed up during the main event of the August 11 NXT, where Grayson Waller and Cruz Montana were vying for a shot at Tony D’Angelo’s NXT Championship. He attacked both competitors, and the match was thrown out.

After laying out Waller and Montana, Zilla turned his attention to D’Angelo at ringside, making it clear he’s coming for the brand’s top title.

His arrival came just days after Fatu dropped the HOG Crown Jewel Championship to Amazing Red. Reports that WWE was looking to sign him had circulated since June, and his debut finally put an end to a long stretch of speculation about his future.

Waller has already fired back at the new arrival, taking a shot at him on social media:

“Just what WWE needs, another overrated Uce.”

One appearance was all it took for Fatu to put himself at the center of the NXT conversation. The question now is whether WWE will slot him directly into the NXT Championship picture opposite Tony D’Angelo.
