Zilla Fatu drops the HOG Crown Jewel title to Amazing Red in apparent farewell ahead of expected WWE signing.

Zilla Fatu Is Getting Closer to Signing With WWE

Zilla Fatu apparently wrapped up his run with House of Glory on Friday night, August 7, further fueling speculation that he’s headed to WWE.

At HOG High Intensity at the NYC Arena in Jamaica, Queens, Amazing Red defeated Fatu to capture the HOG Crown Jewel Championship, cashing in the title opportunity he earned by winning the 2025 Matt Travis Memorial Battle Royal.

The bigger moment came after the match. The crowd chanted for Fatu as Red walked over and told him:

“Good luck.”

HOG’s own broadcast treated it as a farewell, with one commentator saying Fatu was “on to greener pastures.”

The sendoff comes amid reports of strong WWE interest. As we previously reported, Fatu was at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, with no reason given for the visit. A few weeks later, on June 26, Fightful Select went even further:

“Zilla Fatu is expected to sign with WWE, if he hasn’t been signed already.”

As of Saturday, August 8, neither WWE nor Fatu has officially announced a deal.

Fatu had already made his preference for WWE clear before those reports. In May, on the Bootleg Kev Podcast, he dismissed the idea of going to AEW, said his heart was with the “E,” and said he wanted to carry on the legacy of his father, Umaga.
