Bayley’s WWE Future Appears All But Settled

Bayley’s WWE Future Appears All But Settled

Bayley’s future in WWE looks increasingly settled after several weeks of uncertainty surrounding her contract situation.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the latest signs point to WWE expecting Bayley back. The biggest tell, according to Meltzer, is that she continues to be mentioned on Monday Night RAW despite being off television.

“As far as Bayley goes, the frequent mentions of her on Raw this week would indicate to me that they expect her back.”

The situation was far less clear just a few weeks ago. Meltzer had previously reported that Bayley had not signed a new deal and still needed to make a decision about her future. He also noted that her current contract is set to expire at the end of 2026 unless WWE adds time for injuries.

Bayley herself hinted at that timeline. In an April 2025 interview with Chris Van Vliet, she said she had roughly a year and a half remaining on her deal.

Bayley has been off TV since losing to Lyra Valkyria on Saturday Night’s Main Event in July, and her last match took place at a live event in Bakersfield, California. Meltzer believes that if a new deal gets done, the program with Valkyria will likely continue.

The story between the two has been building for months. Bayley and Valkyria teamed together and challenged for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 42.

A new deal would also track with recent precedent. When Bayley re-signed in late 2023, she landed a multi-year contract with a pay increase and was viewed internally as a top priority for the company.
