– Vikingo lands a “630 Senton” on Carthwell, followed by a pinfall.
Backstage, Rey Mysterio talks with El Grande Americano about the return of Los Perros del Mal. The AAA General Manager reminds him that the stable has a long, dangerous history, and advises the masked man not to face them alone.
El Grande Americano thanks him for the warning. He knows the stable’s reputation all too well and has no intention of backing down, but admits Rey is right — on his own, he won’t be able to win this war.
Dominik Mysterio interrupts the conversation. The AAA Mega Champion blames his own father for the company’s current state, saying his father’s poor management opened the door for Los Perros del Mal to return and do whatever they want.
Rey chooses to ignore the comment. He’s just glad to finally see Dominik back at work.
Dominik fires back that he didn’t return just to become another victim of the stable. He then turns his attention to El Grande Americano, recalling that he stayed out of the Mask vs. Mask Match against Chad Gable because he already knew the winner would become his challenger at TripleMania 34.
The champion won’t let Los Perros del Mal ruin what he considers the greatest match in the history of the event by putting El Grande Americano in the hospital before it happens.
Elsewhere backstage, Dorian Roldán walks alongside Omos, AAA Latin American Championship in hand. He declares that tonight belongs to the giant, but is quickly cut off by Mini Vikingo.
Omos immediately shoves Mini Vikingo out of the way. The Nigerian and Roldán then head toward the ring.
Dorian Roldán and Omos make their entrance to heavy boos. The crowd in San Luis Potosí breaks into chants of “Chíngate a tu madre, Dorian!” as the executive makes it clear he never wanted to set foot in this city.
Roldán then reveals that El Hijo del Vikingo suffered a serious knee injury. The luchador has already had surgery and will be sidelined for several months.
Dorian puts the blame squarely on Rey Mysterio, accusing the General Manager of sending Vikingo into unsafe situations and pointing to his appearances on SmackDown and NXT. On top of losing the title and his main source of income, Roldán claims the injury has cost AAA hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Because of that, Roldán announces he’s suing Rey for negligence.
The fans respond with chants of “Culero!,” but Dorian still has another announcement to make. Since El Hijo del Vikingo won’t be able to defend the AAA Latin American Championship, he’s personally naming a replacement.
Roldán hands Omos the title and declares him the new champion.
Rey Mysterio’s music cuts off the celebration!
The General Manager heads to the ring, and before dealing with the title, wishes El Hijo del Vikingo a speedy recovery. Rey notes that he’s been through more than a dozen knee surgeries himself and knows exactly what the luchador is going through. Still, he has no doubt Vikingo will overcome this setback too.
Rey then informs Dorian that he has no authority to name a new champion. His decision is officially overturned.
Mysterio squares up to Omos and demands the giant hand over the title. The Nigerian closes in, forcing Rey to look up to face him.
“Do the right thing and hand me the title. Otherwise, you’ll be suspended from AAA indefinitely,” Rey says.
The threat rattles Dorian, who tells Omos to comply. The giant finally hands the belt back, but shoves it hard into Mysterio’s chest, sending him into the ropes.
With the title back in his hands, Rey officially declares it vacant. The General Manager also announces that next week, he’ll reveal how the next champion will be determined.
Before leaving the ring, Rey has one last message for Roldán.
“Dorian, if you really want to sue me, I’ll see you in court.”
Later on, Damian Priest shows up in a video message directed at Rey Mysterio.
“I just heard the news. If you’re looking for a new AAA Latin American Champion, look no further, because Damian Priest is here. Like I said, El Campeón has arrived in AAA. All rise!” Priest says.
Later, Rey Mysterio holds a press conference. The General Manager announces that Verano de Escándalo will run across three nights, with each night featuring a title match.
Tag Team Match: Money Machine (Garra de Oro & Colmillo de Plata) vs. Noisy Boy & Epydemius Jr.
– The match ends in a No Contest after Los Perros del Mal appear and attack everyone.
Daga grabs a microphone and calls out El Grande Americano for a fight. The Perros del Mal leader says the masked man has been complaining, claiming he wasn’t alone, before warning that the destruction will continue if he doesn’t show up.
El Grande Americano appears, backed by Rayo Americano and Bravo Americano!
The trio rushes to the ring and a brawl breaks out with Perros del Mal. The numbers game makes the difference, though. Rayo and Bravo are quickly taken out, leaving El Grande Americano surrounded by Daga, Angel, and Berto.
The masked man takes off his jacket and goes after the three of them, but he’s overwhelmed once again. Just as the Perros get ready to continue the attack, Dominik Mysterio shows up with a chair!
Dom storms the ring, forcing the stable to back off. Mic in hand, the AAA Mega Champion says that until his match against El Grande Americano happens at Triplemania, any trouble involving the masked man is his business too.
Dominik then challenges Daga to pick one of the Perros del Mal members for a tag team match at Verano de Escandalo. On one side will be the Perros. On the other, “The King of Luchadores,” Dirty Dominik Mysterio, and El Grande Americano!
Perros del Mal head to the back as Dominik reaches out a hand and helps El Grande Americano to his feet. That’s how this week’s episode of Lucha Libre AAA comes to a close.
End of show.
