Add as a preferred source on Google Dominik Mysterio is confirmed for this Saturday’s live episode of AAA on FOX, July 11, from Arena Potosí in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. The reigning AAA Mega Champion doesn’t have a match announced, but he’s advertised to be part of the show.
The expectation is that the segment will start setting up Dominik’s next challenger, especially with Verano de Escándalo approaching. So far, AAA hasn’t revealed who is expected to face him at the event.
At Rey de Reyes in March, Dominik defeated El Hijo del Vikingo in a No Disqualification Match to retain the AAA Mega Championship. As part of the stipulation, Vikingo was barred from challenging for the title again for as long as Mysterio remains champion.
Another name that could cross paths with Dominik is Damian Priest. The former World Heavyweight Champion made his AAA debut on last week’s show and made it clear he’s looking to go after the company’s champions. Rey Mysterio announced that Priest and Dominik would both be at the San Luis Potosí show.
Along with Dominik, appearances have also been announced for El Grande Americano and Los Perros del Mal. Dragon Lee, Jack Cartwheel, and Mini Vikingo will also face off for a shot at Rey Fenix’s AAA Cruiserweight Championship at Verano de Escándalo.
