- Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk and Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther and Sami Zayn;
- Paige and Brie Bella (c) vs. Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid w/ Jacy Jayne) – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match;

Singles Match: WWE United States Champion Trick Williams vs. Laredo Kid
-William lands a “Trick Shot” on Kid, followed by a pinfall.
The show opens with Stephanie McMahon and Joe Tessitore welcoming viewers on the Countdown panel. From there, the action shifts to ringside, where Trick Williams and Laredo Kid kick things off in the first match of the night.
A promotional video announces that tomorrow, as part of another day at Fanatics Fest NYC, the SummerSlam Kickoff will take place, starting at 1:30 EST, on ESPN 2.
Stephanie McMahon, already in the ring, invites Oba Femi out to make his entrance. The Ruler heads down to a loud ovation from the crowd.
Stephanie asks Femi about Brock Lesnar’s mind games, pointing to this past Monday’s RAW, when fake police officers served as Lesnar’s escort, with just two weeks now separating the two from their Hell in a Cell Match at SummerSlam.
Femi says that if Lesnar thinks he’s inside his head, the reality is the exact opposite. He proved at WrestleMania 42 that he can beat him, a win that even had Lesnar considering retirement. Femi points out that Lesnar is running from him, which shows he’s never been more on Lesnar’s mind than he is right now.
Femi says he isn’t the one who needs to fear Lesnar — it’s the other way around, he says, because in two weeks at SummerSlam, he’ll prove exactly why he’s known as WWE’s Destroyer.
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event:
Joe Tessitore and Stephanie McMahon welcome us to the main card of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
A video package earlier in the day showed some of the night’s top stars arriving at Madison Square Garden, including Bayley, Lyra Valkyria, Paige, Brie Bella, Fatal Influence, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Gunther, Sami Zayn and Jalen Brunson.
On commentary, Michael Cole and Wade Barrett announce that Brie Bella and Paige will put the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the line next.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Paige and Brie Bella (c) vs. Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid w/ Jacy Jayne
– After receiving illegal assistance from Jayne, unnoticed by the referee, Reid pins Paige with a roll-up to win the match.
With this victory, Fatal Influence captures its first title on the WWE main roster, ending the reign of Paige and Brie that began at WrestleMania 42 in April.
Backstage, Sami Zayn is interviewed and asked about his preparation for tonight’s tag team match. Zayn isn’t happy about the situation. He says he doesn’t want to be treated like a victim, but he still feels wronged ever since his loss to CM Punk on RAW. According to Zayn, he should be getting his rematch automatically, but instead he now has to compete in a tag match, with Gunther as his partner.
Gunther shows up and says he’ll repeat the warning. He wants Zayn out of his way, because he doesn’t want his spot at SummerSlam put at risk.
We see a video recapping the rivalry between Danhausen and JD McDonagh.
No-Disqualification Match: JD McDonagh w/ Judgment Day (Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan & AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio) vs. Danhausen
– After receiving help from Karl-Anthony Towns, who emerged from the clone machine and attacked Mysterio and McDonagh, Danhausen executes the “Inverted DDT”, followed by a pinfall.
We now get a video package recapping Saturday’s Fanatics Fest NYC, which featured Tom Brady slapping Logan Paul across the face after an argument that also involved Jake Paul.
Singles Match: Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria
– Valkyria applies a neck submission on Bayley, causing her to pass out, to secure the win.
After the match, Valkyria hits Bayley with Nightwing onto the steel steps, leaving the former WWE Women’s Champion unconscious.
A promotional video airs announcing that WWE will hold another NXT Stand & Deliver event in April 2027 during WrestleMania 43 weekend, along with the inaugural WWE/AAA Eternal Glory, with both events taking place in New York City.
Tag Team Match: Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk and Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther and Sami Zayn
– Nick Aldis appears and strikes Gunther in the face with the championship belt while the referee is recovering. Punk hits the Austrian with a “GTS”, followed by the pinfall.
We see a video showing the official WWE SummerSlam card, with the event set for August 1 and 2 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
We then see highlights of Jalen Brunson playing for the championship-winning Knicks last season. Brunson was named Finals MVP.
Backstage, Brunson meets Roman Reigns and accompanies the World Heavyweight Champion to the ring to a huge ovation from the crowd at Madison Square Garden.
Once in the ring, Reigns says New York does not get to see this every day, adding that greatness recognizes greatness as he points to Brunson. Reigns says the city is WWE’s home and feels like home to him every time he is there.
Reigns talks about acknowledgment and points to Brunson’s accomplishments in the NBA Finals, including being named MVP. He says that, just like in WWE, everyone needs a championship belt. Reigns then presents Brunson with a custom World Heavyweight Championship belt in New York Knicks colors. Seth Rollins’ music hits.
Tyrese Haliburton appears with a chair as Rollins uses the distraction to attack Reigns from behind. Rollins sets Reigns up for a Stomp onto the chair Haliburton handed him, but Brunson stops him.
Reigns takes advantage and hits Rollins with a Superman Punch, followed by a Spear. Rollins rolls out of the ring, where an angry Haliburton helps him away.
The show ends with Reigns and Brunson celebrating in the ring with the championship belts and the NBA trophy.
