AEW will return to Mexico before All In: London. Grand Slam: Mexico 2026 has officially been announced for August 5, once again in partnership with CMLL.

The event is expected to take place at the historic Arena Mexico in Mexico City, following the same format used in 2025, when Tony Khan’s company held its first televised show in the country.

The confirmation ends weeks of speculation about the date. In April, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter had reported that AEW still planned to return to Arena Mexico in 2026, but that it would happen after June, unlike the previous edition.

Tony Khan had already made it clear late last year that he wanted to hold another Grand Slam: Mexico event, directly praising the partnership with CMLL and saying the experience at Arena Mexico had been extremely positive.

The first edition of the special had a major impact for AEW. The 2025 show featured Místico against MJF, Mercedes Moné defeating Zeuxis for the CMLL World Women’s Championship, and a major multi-man match in the main event.

The event also had strong ticket demand last year, with Arena Mexico selling out quickly for the special.

As of now, no matches have been announced for Grand Slam: Mexico 2026. AEW, ROH, and CMLL names are expected to be involved again.
