An AEW billboard is getting attention in Minneapolis during WWE’s biggest weekend of the year. A Dynamite ad went up directly across the street from U.S. Bank Stadium, the site of SummerSlam.

The ad features AEW talent and plugs Dynamite airing live every week on TBS and HBO Max. It doesn’t advertise an AEW show in Minneapolis.

SummerSlam runs this Saturday (8/1) and Sunday (8/2). It’s the first time WWE has run a stadium show in the city, bringing thousands of fans to the area around U.S. Bank Stadium over the two days.

Meanwhile, the next Dynamite is Wednesday (8/5), with Grand Slam: Mexico at Arena México. AEW hasn’t commented on whether the billboard’s location was a direct shot at WWE.

The battle for fans’ attention has already spilled onto both companies’ calendars, though. NXT Battleground ran the same day as Double or Nothing in 2023 and 2025. WWE also ran Wrestlepalooza on 9/20/2025, the same date as All Out: Toronto.

The next head-to-head is set for 9/26. WWE/AAA/NXT Worlds Collide starts at 7:30 p.m. CT at Allstate Arena, while AEW All Out goes on at 6 p.m. CT at NOW Arena. On top of the overlapping start times, both shows are in the Chicago area, putting the two companies in direct competition for the same market.
