WWE Reportedly Has Major Plans for Jey Uso as a Singles Star

Jey has been part of WWE RAW’s programming alongside Jimmy Uso and The Bloodline.

A report attributed to SMD and circulated on social media claims WWE is planning to move Jey to SmackDown and put him in a feud with Trick Williams. The reported goal is to make him a Grand Slam Champion. As of now, WWE has not announced any brand changes.

Jey has won multiple titles throughout his career but has never held the United States Championship. He is a former World Heavyweight Champion and Intercontinental Champion who has also held tag team titles — three of the four categories WWE uses to recognize a Grand Slam Champion.

Trick Williams’ current momentum also lends weight to the rumored feud. Williams is the reigning United States Champion. On the September 18 SmackDown, he defeated Randy Orton and Rey Fenix to earn a spot in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

Crown Jewel is the rumored setting for Jey to finally capture the title. According to the same report, the match could take place at the November 7 premium live event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
