Amazing Red had a historic night at TNA Slammiversary, which took place Sunday at Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts.
The X-Division icon returned to a TNA ring for the first time in 15 years, competing in the Ultimate X Match for the TNA X-Division Championship against Cedric Alexander, Leon Slater, Frankie Kazarian, Mr. Elegance, Fabian Aichner, and KC Navarro.
The match opened the pay-per-view’s main card and saw Alexander retain the title in controversial fashion. In the closing stretch, Red and Slater climbed the cables at the same time and battled for the championship above the ring. Slater managed to pull it down first, but Alexander quickly took the title from his hands and was declared the winner.
After the match, Frankie Kazarian grabbed a microphone and spoke directly to Amazing Red, highlighting Red’s influence on multiple generations of X-Division wrestlers and modern pro wrestling as a whole.
TNA then aired a video announcing Red as the newest member of the TNA Hall of Fame. His induction ceremony will take place at Bound For Glory, which is set for October 11 at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.
Red became emotional in the ring, embraced Kazarian, and received “You deserve it” and “Thank you Red” chants from the live crowd.
With the announcement, Amazing Red joins ODB as part of the 2026 class of the TNA Hall of Fame.
