Baron Corbin is no longer MLW World Tag Team Champion. On this Saturday’s episode of MLW Fusion, the reigning WWE United States Champion dropped the tag titles alongside Donovan Dijak.
Working in MLW under the name Bishop Dyer, Corbin teamed with Dijak as The Skyscrapers and faced The Good Brothers, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows, in a Tennessee Tornado Match.
In the closing moments, Anderson and Gallows sent Dijak off the top turnbuckle through a table at ringside, then hit the Magic Killer on Dyer to score the pinfall and capture the MLW World Tag Team Championship for the first time.
There’s a key wrinkle, though. While the title change just aired, the match was actually taped on May 9 at The Signal in Chattanooga, Tennessee. At the time, Corbin hadn’t yet returned to WWE; his SmackDown comeback didn’t happen until July.
11:15 PM · Aug 15, 2026Based on the taping date, The Skyscrapers’ reign ended at 317 days with four successful defenses. The team had won the titles in June 2025.
The timing is worth noting given MLW’s delay between tapings and air dates. On television, Corbin lost a title in another promotion less than two weeks after defeating Trick Williams at SummerSlam to win the WWE United States Championship.
Since then, Corbin has defended the title against Williams on SmackDown and defeated Carmelo Hayes on the 8/14 show. After that match, Williams and Lil Yachty attacked the champion, signaling that the title feud is far from over.
