Brie Bella remains out of action with the serious injury she suffered at SummerSlam on August 1, but she continues to make progress in her recovery.
In a new post on her official Instagram account, Bella, a WWE Hall of Famer, discussed the difficulties she has faced during rehab.
“Recovery is hard. But I genuinely cannot imagine how much harder it would have been if I hadn’t taken these steps first… Knowing what is actually happening inside my body. Understanding my biomarkers. Making informed choices instead of guessing. Made sure I wasn’t going into this blind, and that has made all the difference.”
Bella fractured her scapula in three places during her six-woman tag team match against Fatal Influence. The injury came when she took a cannonball into the ring steps. After a medical evaluation, she chose not to undergo surgery and was initially given a recovery timeline of three to six months.
Even so, her recovery has gone well. Bella is out of the sling and recently said she is about a week ahead of schedule. Her next major exam is scheduled for October 1, when doctors will check whether the bones are fusing properly.
There is still no timetable for her return, however. On Thursday, Nikki and Brie Bella’s official account said that no talks with WWE about a return to the ring have taken place so far.
“Also we have no idea when Brie will be back. There hasn’t been any discussions at all. We all are hoping Rumble!”
The 2027 Royal Rumble is set for February at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
